I got my Avocado Shea Hair Butter by SafiHairCare in the mail (xoxox Alex!) and it is AH-MAZINNNNG! I spent nearly 10 minutes with my nose in the jar after I opened my package [THAT's how good it smells]. It's not too heavy, yet not too light. It gives good curl control but doesn't make my hair stiff. It smells delicious, but isn't too fragrant. I can go on and on... this stuff is perfect.

-- Thank you for such a well written, wholesome question ;) Personally, I have never set an itinerary for my "progression". Some people think to themselves, "in 5 years, I want to be [this, this and that]". Having a general idea of where you want to be in life is good, but I'm no psychic... I wont even try to predict such things. BUT... I do know that everyday that I wake up, I tell myself, "I am going to take full advantage of this day, not a second will go to waste." Hey guys! I know I know... it's been a while. But hey, I've been really busy. 'Busy' is good though, right?! Right.

I guess I'll re-break the ice by answering some more FAQs. There are still like 40 more, so sorry if I haven't gotten to your question yet -_- I'm trying my hardest to keep up with them. #butanywaydoe, here goes :)

Q: Can you PLEASE update your blog more often..I know its time consuming but Im sorta addicted. I eat your blog for breakfast :)
-- I'll really try now that school is coming to a close. I have a three week vacay coming up, so I'll probably go super hard for a while lol.

Q: Hey, I recently cut my hair & I noticed that you cut your hair like 2 summers ago and your hair is growing back NICELY. What can I do to get my hair to grow back like that? We have the same texture of hair, I think..so, also what products??
-- Growing hair back after a big chop is all about moisturizing and conditioning. The healthier you keep your hair, the less breakage you'll have; when you have minimal breakage, your hair will get long quickly. Ever since I cut my hair, I've done weekly deep conditioning treatments (you can use your favorite conditioner + a little bit of olive oil under a dryer for 30 minutes). I get my ends clipped as needed (I don't follow the 'get your ends clipped every 2-3 months' rule, because if your ends are healthy, cutting them will just set you back for no reason). When I "wash & go" I use Cantu Leave-In Conditioner and a little bit of Carols Daughter Leave-In to keep my curls healthy. When I straighten my hair, I spray a little bit of [this] before blow-drying, and flatiron with a ceramic flatiron on 350 degrees.

Q: i was really considering moving to atl to finish school & wanted to know where you thought good apartment areas were!?!?
-- It all depends on what school you're going to and if you're going to have a car. I live in the West-Midtown Art District. The area has a lot of yummy restaurants, galleries, and shops. It's still downtown... but it's a little more quiet. NEVER live anywhere mentioned in a T.I, Shawty Lo, or Gucci Mane song. Generally, all of the cool, artsy folk live in the Little 5 Points and Virginia Highlands area. All of the AUC (Spelman, Morehouse, Clark Atl) kids live, well, near the AUC [the hood, ugh]. And all of the boujee folk live in Midtown or Buckhead, anywhere near Peachtree St [lol]. OH! and all of the gays live in Midtown as well, near Piedmont Park... so if you're a straight male, you might want to stay away from that area ;)

Q: who is this 'the boss' character you talk about on twitter? youre not fooling anyone, we know that aint your real boss and what is his REAL name.
-- He's not MY boss, but he's definitely A boss. His name is Maurice... and he'd kill me if he knew I was putting this online.. so shhhhhh :-X lol

Q: Why don't you ever do outfit posts? You can dress so well you should really show it off girl!
-- Thank you so much :)... But I think outfit posts are cliche. It's weird going out and taking pics of my outfit just to post on the blog lol. I'm not a model, so fake-walking in crosswalks and fake-roaming in fields to get a good flick of my fit isn't my thing #noshade for those of you who do though.

Q: It's so funny u got kicked out of IKEA, what happened?
-- HAHA! That's a part of my past I'd like to put behind me. All I'll say is... girls are often fooled my my 'young-looking' face. At the end of the day, I am a woman; a strong woman.. and will not be disrespected.

Q: I seen you are a fashion major, how do you like it and how do you expect to find a real job?
-- Fashion isn't science; it's an opinion, it's all grey area... that's why I love my major. To obtain a career in the field, you've gotta do your research, know your shit, network your ass off. When it comes to careers in fashion, there is a vast market out there that is growing at a steady pace. Getting ANY job in this economy will be tough, but I'm no average Jane ;)

Q: when are u comming back to DC or do u live in atl for good?
-- I should be back in the DMV for about a week at the end of June for a short 'lil vacay. I live in Atlanta for now... my apartment is here, my car is here... I don't plan on moving back home unless I get a good job up there when I graduate. I'll go wherever my career takes me.

Q: i luv gucci...she's so bad and has a tight lil swag. tell gina i liked her miami pictures too.
-- Aww.. I love her too lol. I think it's so cute when people refer to her as "gucci". She reads my blog... So I'm sure she'll see this.

Q: How do you feel about the "guys" of today..
-- I'm not sure what you're asking, but I'll take a shot at this. "Guys" can be split into two categories; Boys, and Men. Age, career status and/or net worth don't separate the two; [mindset] does. A lot of people say things like, "They don't make guys like they used to, chivalry is dead.. blah blah blah" but i think that's because they have a skewed view of women and what women deserve. I blame girls for that. Once women start demanding respect...... you know the rest. I think "the guys of today" need a better work ethic; some of them are a little lazy. But other than that.. guys are pretty cool, I know some great ones :)

Okay so.. in a previous post I announced that I was going to do a FAQ post for everyone with questions-n-such. I got a surprisingly huge response via gmail and formspring so I'm going to have to separate them into two parts. Q: I love the photos you take, what kind of camera do you use?

-- Thank you, I use a Nikon D3000 with the standard lens...

Q: Your blog seems so random what's your theme?

-- It IS pretty random huh? I didn't want this to be a fashion blog.. or a hip hop blog or anything in particular. It started out as something for my friends and twitter followers who understand how random I am in 'real-life'...it got pretty popular by accident.

Q: What's the oldest guy you've been attracted to, why?

-- He was 33. They know what they want, they know what you want... there isn't too much confusion.. there aren't too many games. It wouldn't have worked though... I'm 19. So we didn't have much in common being that we were at two TOTALLY different stages of our lives.

-- ICE CREAM!!! I LOOOOVE ICE CREAM. But if I had to pick a 'real' food... probably stir-fry from Chow Baby [in atlanta].

-- This isn't really a question... but, I get this a lot and never understand why. I'm always happy.. smiling.. helping others. I'm a good associate and a great friend. I don't give anyone a good reason to stamp me as "bitch"... so here's a question for you; why?! why do you think I'm a bitch?

I. Love. This. Spot! They offer a wide range of organic, vegan, and exotic food...and surprisingly, it all tastes GREAT! Even though I enjoy good quality food, I'm not a health-food nut, so super organic places are sometimes a little too bland for me-- but not this one. Even though I usually opt for the french toast [which may i stress, IS TO DIE FOR], I've tried a lot of other stuff on the menu and have never been disappointed. Everything is so fresh and yummy =P And again.. the FRENCH TOAST... *sigh* So good...

I'd want to share our favorite jokes, and teach him how to work an iPhone (I think he'd enjoy that). I'd love to talk about what makes him happy, about where he got his drive from...

I always try to indulge in the finer things in life-- great food, great apparel, a great education etc... but what I appreciate most is great service. I love finding a restaurant with nice waiters, a boutique with cute sales associates, a coffee shop with cool baristas, and a nail salon with great-- EVERYTHING. i never really learned how to share..

my mommy seemed to make sure there was enough of everything to go around so me and my little brother never really had to.

i was always a spoiled child.

i almost always got my way.

i was kind of bad if you ask me :/

i enjoyed saying curse words under my breath in church camp.

.. and i bit people.

..i'm older now, and i've realized not much has changed.

so, you have to excuse me for being selfish.. spoiled.. and mean on some occasions. even though i don't bite anymore, i oftentimes find these characteristics getting in the way of 'positive outcomes' in certain situations.

but there is always a flip side.

Dear Santa,

You know I've been a good girl this year so I'm going to need you to listen up. I have a 3.7 grade point average so I want a new camera. I haven't lied much.. well uh.. there was that time I told Professor Mills that I had a migraine so I could go to that sample sale :/ but that doesn't count, right?..so umm.. I want three new Chloe sweaters. I've been nice to my parents- even when they blow me.. so I'd like you to get my car detailed and stuff- wait, just go on ahead and get me a new one (I like my cars red btw..). And Santa hunny, you know I just got a new apartment right.. so as a stocking stuffer, you can just walk that ass over to IKEA and get me a niiiiceee (1,000 dollar *cough*) gift card. You know I always keep things simple.. I've never been one to ask for much ;)
